Approved Indications for Verdye ICG in the UK

Breast Cancer: • Intraoperative identification of the sentinel lymph node and visualisation of lymphatic pathways in cases of breast cancer Ophthalmic angiography diagnostics: • Measurement of perfusion of the choroid Liver function diagnostics: • Measurement of liver blood flow • Measurement of excretory function of the liver Cardiac, circulatory and micro-circulatory diagnostics: • Measurement of cardiac output and stroke volume • Measurement of circulating blood volumes • Measurement of cerebral perfusion

Preparation and Administration

Dry powder of Verdye ICG must be reconstituted with water for injections immediately before use.

The 25 mg vial is reconstituted with 5 ml of water for injections, producing a solution containing 5 mg/ml of indocyanine green.

Verdye ICG may be administered intravenously, intradermally, subcutaneously or peritumorally, depending on the indication. Dose, route and method of administration must follow the Summary of Product Characteristics. Total daily dose: • Adults, elderly, adolescents 11-18 years: The total dose of Verdye should be kept below 5 mg/kg body weight.
